Los Cabos truly has something for each type of visitor, no matter their age of what they like to do while on vacation. From beaches to whale watching; activities to relaxation; surfing to fishing, biking to zip lining; beach buggies to walking trails and much, much more this region needs to be on your bucket list. As the spa capital of Mexico, Los Cabos has an abundance of pampering facilities. These artfully decorated retreats instantly immerse you into a world of calm and relaxation. As one of the world’s most famous golf destinations, Los Cabos glitters with amazing greens. Championship courses have been carved out of the arid landscape that often looks out into the blue Sea of Cortes beyond. Everyone from Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Fred Couples, Pete Dye, Tom Weiskopf and many others have helped design and build some incredible golf experiences. And if the current roster of 11 courses isn’t enough, there are plans for 7 more on the books for completion in the next 7 years. Must plays include the Troon managed Palmilla GC, Cabo Del Sol Ocean and Desert and these 3 outstanding Questro Golf facilities:
Cabo Real: designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., this course immediately gained worldwide recognition upon opening. This championship layout is highlighted by its nine spectacular ocean front holes. Cabo Real has had the opportunity to host such important events such as the PGA Grand Senior Slams from 1996-1999. With a conservative slope rating of 140 from the blue tees it’ll provide a great challenge even for low handicappers.
Palmilla Golf Club: Don Koll and
Jack Nicklaus set the scene for the creation of this unique blending of desert
and sea with 27 fantastic holes: the Arroyo Nine, the Mountain Nine and the
Ocean Nine are of
traditional Mexican design. Many holes require forced carry tee shots over
canyons, brush, river beds and more to tight, rolling fairways. Of the Ocean
course, Nicklaus said it was like "designing mountains by
the sea." A Troon Golf managed facility.

Club Campestre San Jose: with its wonderful views of the Sea of Cortes, canyons and mountains, Club Campestre San Jose invites you to enjoy the incredible panoramic views, dramatic elevation changes and the undulating greens. Created with masterful precision and challenging elegance, this unique golf course is nestled in the foothills of the Sierras and allows you breathtaking views from every hole on the course. The 7th hole contains an amazing peninsula green with a view that emphasizes the beautiful contrast between desert and ocean.
Puerto Los Cabos GC: this combination Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman design is a treat. It brings together two very distinct design philosophies that will make you ‘think’ around the course and will make you use every club in the bag. Norman designed the front nine of the Mission Course, while Jack designed the back nine of the Marina Course. Another 18-hole championship course is in the works. Like many of the local courses, the prevailing winds will give you a challenge since this design is open to all of the elements.
